Location

Bizkaia, our primary focused region, is located in the north of Spain. Bizkaia is a province within the Basque Country (also known as Euskadi). The Basque Country straddles both sides of the border between France and Spain and it has been inhabited by an independent people for centuries.
The capital city of Bizkaia is Bilbao which was once a major shipbuilding port but now focuses more on finance, culture and tourism.

Weather

The weather in Northern Spain is milder than in other parts of Europe and not as extreme as in other parts of Spain (eastern) or the world.
This is due to its proximity to the Bay of Biscay, which moderates both temperature and humidity levels.
For example, Madrid has an average annual temperature of 15°C (59°F), whereas Bilbao has an average annual temperature 14 – 17 °C (57 – 63 °F). Although there are some occasional hot days during summer, temperatures are rarely high enough for anyone who may be unaccustomed to this type of climate to feel uncomfortable or uneasy; on the contrary, they actually provide a pleasant break from more humid areas such as those found further south towards Sevilla or Cordoba where temperatures can reach up 30°C+ during July/August period.

Infrastructure and Economy

Infrastructure is a key aspect for any real estate investment, and Bizkaia has two airports within the province. The Bilbao Airport serves as a hub for Ryanair and Vueling airlines, which provide flights to destinations such as Paris and Rome. This airport also offers direct flights to London airports in England. The Zestoa Airport serves as a base for Air Europa which covers domestic destinations in Spain and Europe as well.
The road network is another major infrastructure worth mentioning. In fact, Bizkaia has the highest density of motorways per square kilometre compared with other Spanish provinces! Additionally, there are several highways connecting Bilbao with other cities such as Logroño or Pamplona that can be used by both local residents or tourists who wish to explore this region further at their own pace by car.

Accessibility

One of the big advantages of buying property in North of Spain is that it's easy to get around. There are many roads and highways in this area, so you can easily get to the city center in less than an hour. You can also expect similar levels of access if you want to visit other parts of the country like Barcelona or Madrid.
